Fashion Saves Lives! – Tel Aviv hosts fundraising ball for cancer research

It is not often that fashion and a great cause bring together hundreds of people! Tel Aviv’s first ever “Dress For Cancer” event gave opportunity to shop, party, and enjoy an amazing fashion show, while contributing to cancer research projects.

What a night! The White City’s posh Castiel Complex was packed with fashionistas, and while the guests were enjoying their drinks the students of IDC (Herzliya’s independent university) were getting ready for their first ever catwalk through the runway.

Famous Israeli designers presented their collections, and this time not only beauty and style motivated the shopaholics: all proceeds from sales went to charities of the Israel Cancer Research Fund, and Friends of Schneider Hospital.

When IDC students hit the runway, half of the guests had to wait for the next round: over 700 people showed up, so the occasional models had to repeat the show.

Just some of the designers/brands that featured on the runway: Pioo Pioo, Nili Ben Simon, Ugly Duckling, Pistolero, Tamar Primak, Miss Geisha, Shlomit Ofir, Shir Dor, David Sassoon, Liat Ginzburg, Sister M, and many more.

After the shows the party continued: pulsing music, cute cupcakes, and cool drinks for everyone! After all we have a good reason to celebrate: more than 50,000 shekels has been raised by the generous fashion-loving guests!

Join me next week for a trip to Budapest! I’ll be a the presenter of Hungary’s unique music awards gala, Bravo Otto, wearing a talented Hungarian designer clothes! Stay tuned, and follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr for more fashion news from Tel Aviv!
